Two Services, One Mission
Manilla Support Services operates two distinct services for children and young people in Northamptonshire: Cloverdale House, a residential children’s home in Finedon for young people aged 8–17, and Gannett House, a supported accommodation service in Wellingborough for looked-after children and care leavers aged 16–17. Both services share a common commitment to trauma-informed, child-centred care that places young people at the heart of everything we do.

Our organisation was established to provide individually tailored support for young people on their journey toward adulthood. We ensure that our support and accommodation meet these five key principles.
Safety & Security
Young people feel safe and secure in their living environment and wider surroundings, with staff available 24/7 and a member of staff sleeping on-site overnight to support in case of emergencies.
Voice & Advocacy
Young people’s voice is heard, respected and advocated for. They understand and take ownership of the support they receive, with access to independent advocacy services and clear routes to raise concerns.
Skilled Adults
Young people have confidence that the adults who support and understand them have the necessary skills to work together effectively to meet their needs — with regular supervision and ongoing professional development.
Pride in Their Space
Young people feel proud of their space and live in comfortable, well-maintained, and stable accommodation that promotes positive self-esteem and protects against stigma.
Health & Well-being
Young people receive high-quality, tailored support that sustains their physical and emotional well-being, with access to external mental health professionals and specialist interventions where needed.
Journey to Independence
Young people are supported on their journey toward adulthood, developing the skills and resources required to navigate their next steps towards independence and a successful adult life.
Promoting Independence
We are committed to empowering young people to develop the skills, confidence, and resilience necessary to transition to independent living. Through personalised programs, practical support, and continuous monitoring, we help young people achieve their goals and aspirations while fostering a sense of self-reliance.
Skills Development Workshops
Tailored in-house workshops focus on building self-care, independent living, and financial management skills. Topics include budgeting, meal planning, cooking, and managing personal hygiene — with weekly cooking classes helping young people prepare nutritious meals independently.
Education, Training & Employment
We support young people in accessing education, training, and employment opportunities — including assistance enrolling in courses, attending school or college, and balancing education with personal responsibilities. External agencies provide specialised educational programmes where needed.
Healthy Living Support
Education on nutrition, exercise, and mental health, emphasising the importance of a balanced lifestyle. We promote positive coping strategies such as mindfulness and grounding exercises to support emotional well-being during challenging moments.
Preparing for the Future
We engage with external services — such as housing support and career counsellors — to facilitate a smooth transition to adulthood. Each young person has a tailored independence plan that gradually reduces reliance on staff while building confidence in their abilities.
“We believe that young people have a better chance of success when they have the skills and resources required to navigate their next steps towards independence.”
