Sensory Room
A dedicated sensory room providing a calming, therapeutic space where young people can regulate their emotions, relax, and engage in sensory-based activities tailored to their individual needs.
Meeting Room
A private meeting room for professional meetings, keywork sessions, family visits, and multi-agency discussions. This space ensures confidentiality and a quiet environment for important conversations.
Manager’s Office
The Registered Manager’s office is located on the ground floor, providing an accessible and professional space for administrative work, staff supervision, and confidential discussions.

Kitchen & Dining Area

Four individually decorated bedrooms for the young people, each providing a personal sanctuary. One bedroom benefits from an en-suite bathroom, offering additional privacy. Each room is equipped with a bed, bedside table, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, and chair — allowing young people to personalise their space and feel truly at home.
Staff Bedroom
A dedicated staff bedroom ensures that waking night staff have a designated space during their shift, maintaining the safety and supervision of the home throughout the night while respecting the privacy of the young people.
Communal Bathroom
A well-maintained communal bathroom equipped with modern facilities, ensuring the comfort and dignity of all residents. Bathroom routines are structured to respect each young person’s privacy and personal needs.

Food & Dining
Each week a new menu is created for the following week which will include your choices as well as other children and adults. We hope that whilst living at Cloverdale House you try lots of new foods as well as enjoying lots of fruit and vegetables to keep you healthy.
Weekly Menus
On a Sunday, adults will ask you for meal suggestions and ask for food items to be put on a shopping list for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Your choices matter and shape the menu each week.
Cooking Skills
We encourage all our children to learn how to cook and will support you in learning how to do this. There is always a fully stocked kitchen with different foods and utensils available for you to cook new things.
Communal Meals
We like to sit down together for a meal where we can. It gives us all a chance to have a natter! The fruit bowl is always stocked so help yourself at any time.
Things to Do
We encourage you to enjoy a wide range of activities, develop new interests, and become involved in your local community. Activities may include swimming, sports, walking, cycling, shopping, visits to local attractions, theme parks, holidays, and community events.

Quality Assurance
Cloverdale House is independently inspected and regulated to ensure the highest standards of care and safeguarding for every young person.
Regulation 44 Visits
A Regulation 44 Inspector, otherwise known as an Independent Visitor, is required to visit and inspect the home a minimum of once per month to assess the safeguarding arrangements and quality of care provided.
Our independent visitor, Mariama Phantey, attends the home once a month and meets with management. She also speaks with young people on her visits to ensure they are happy and have a voice.
Ofsted Inspections
Ofsted are responsible for inspecting Cloverdale House and are the governing body that make sure all homes are providing good care to all the children living there.
Ofsted will usually visit once a year and will give feedback in the form of a report. They will visit the home, arriving in the morning and will spend the whole day with you and the staff to learn what it is like to live at Cloverdale House.
